I agree that writing out Scripture has a powerful effect. I have also put some psalms to music as a way to memorize them. If you're musically inclined, it's kind of fun and it really sticks.

Prayer became the means to helping me understand faith.

Faith was a word that I have heard all my life, but never knew in my heart or understood.

Prayer became something that I would offer to someone in need or it would be asked of me. As friends shared their needs or concerns for prayer, I prayed. I saw many answered prayers and saw my faith grow. A "realness" with God that I had never experienced before. And a soft whisper in my heart from God telling me, that if He will hear and answer the prayers I lift on behalf of others, He will hear the prayers of my heart also if I give them to Him.

You are so right about unexpected packages. I recall clearly a Christmas seven years ago when Scott and I were going to try in a couple of months for a baby. Instead we conceived that very day. We bore our third daughter, Clara, one day before we were to leave for Switzerland. We lost our trip but oh what a trade. We got the better end of the deal!

God’s timing is perfect! Always. You wrote this in May, but I needed it today. This is the first time I have even seen your blog and I just stumbled upon it because I love this scripture and googled it. I needed something a little extra from Him and you just hit me upside the head with a HUGE revelation. Little things can make big impacts. Thank you for writing. Wow...the 4 things you stated, I could have said myself...even including the lottery! ;-)

I have a lot of busyness in my day. Not all of it is productive...I just stay busy.

I too need to pause in my daily life. I pray asking God to show me the blessings he has for me each day but wonder how many I have missed because I didn't take time to pause.
